of compressed pear shape rising to a waisted neck and wide flared mouth, boldly painted around the body with three large peony blossoms each borne on a foliate scroll, the neck painted with four shaped cartouches overlapping with flowerheads, the mouth and footrim gilt, the base enamelled in blue with an apocryphal four-character mark within a double-square
