We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
There is an area of very faint russet blush in the stone in one of the lobes at the end. There is a faint flaw line measuring approx. 2.5 cm. long extending from the foot up into the body. Appears to be in good condition and is well carved and well polished.

器物扩口，肩部起棱，微弧腹，近足部下折起棱斜壁收至底足。通体施白釉，色若白玉，圈足无釉露胎，施底釉，修足刀法爽利，胎质细白，胎釉结合紧密，质量之高实所罕见。器身装饰四道双股绳纹，肩部对应装饰四个皮球花纹，装饰简练素雅，为文房清玩雅物。品位极高。

器物曾著录于《Objects for the Scholar’s Desk》， Maria Kiang，2019，编号2，CK旧藏，卡尔•坎普（Dr. Johan Carl Kempe）晚期曾专注于白釉的收藏。去世前几年出本的藏品汇总图录里百分之八十都是白釉瓷器。此番收藏也成为了空前绝后的存在。这批白釉上至隋唐下至晚清，品种无比丰富。此为一例

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
– There are a few tiny chips to the mouth rim.
– There is a loss to the inside of one foot measuring approx.1.7 x 1.2 cm.
– There is a small ground glaze flaw to one side of the jar measuring approx. 1.7 x 0.5 cm. with an associted shallow glaze chip.

A Yaozhou jar of similar shape, size and dating was included in the exhibition and illustrated in The Masterpieces of Yaozhou Ware, Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka, 1997, p. 18, no. 13.
