There are a few minor glaze flakes to the rim, and a few minor nicks to the foot.

The vase is finely incised with a scaly five-claw dragon and a phoenix amongst bats, clouds and fire scrolls, between bands of lappets and ruyi. It is covered with a turquoise glaze, the base similarly glazed.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture

There is a small V-shaped section to the mouth rim that has been broken off and re-stuck, measuring approximately 2.5 cm. x 2 cm, with an associated area of over painting measuring approximately 4/5 of the circumference of the neck, with a maximum depth of approximately 8 cm.
There are also two very small rim chips that have been restored. The restoration has discoloured and looks worse than it actually is, and can be professionally redone.
There is also a shallow restored section to the interior of the foot rim measuring approximately 4 cm. long, with an associated area of over painting, measuring maximum approximately 9 cm.
There are a few shallow minor chips to the foot rim, the largest measuring approximately 1 cm. diam.
There is some minor general age-related surface wear.

The turquoise glaze has fired a greenish blue tone to areas of the body and there are a few tiny scattered iron spots.

of baluster form with generous globular sides rising from a waisted foot, boldly carved with archaistic kui dragons and phoenix, their sinuous bodies picked out with raised bosses and terminating in curled tendrils, the short flaring neck rising to a lipped rim encircled by a wan-symbol frieze, the foot bordered with a border of upright lappets, applied overall with a thick glaze of a rich olive-green tone pooling in the recesses to highlight the carving, the base crisply carved with a six-character seal mark within a recessed square

豆青釉罐，周身滿飾盤結夔龍，釉泛橄欖青調，為乾隆窰豆青瓷佳例。此類青瓷傚仿早明龍泉官窰器，突顯清帝慕古之情。紐約蘇富比曾售二例，與此相類，分別為1979年5月5日，編號40，以及1981年11月6日，編號306。
論釉色、器形、紋飾，此罐均以明初御製龍泉瓷為摹本。明龍泉青瓷向以光潤，微黃或乳濁的濃綠釉色著稱，器形端正，所綴紋飾，精巧刻劃，多與當時景德鎮製官窰器相類。近年大窰龍泉窰遺址出土部分帶年款瓷片，證實龍泉窰曾受委燒官瓷，並得明代朝廷監造，詳見《碧綠：明代龍泉窰青瓷》，國立故宮博物院，臺北，2009年，頁21。

不僅遵循明規，此件豆青釉夔龍紋罐且蘊乾隆風韻，明瓷罐原形延伸，曲線更形圓鼓飽滿，繁複盤結的夔龍紋也取代了明代龍紋。參考 Bo Ewer 舊藏一例，售於倫敦蘇富比1973年7月24日，編號56。試比較一件青花龍紋罐，足上綴相類蓮瓣紋，錄於《景德鎮出土明宣德官窰瓷器》，鴻禧美術館，臺北，1998年，編號3。

此罐紋飾遠視仿若早明青瓷常見之纏枝花卉，近觀甫見夔龍細節，極其巧妙。此為乾隆窰少見之作，多數乾隆青瓷延續雍正風格，取前朝原形，加添新式變化。同其父祖，乾隆帝愛古，但其仿古之作多遵循雍正窰例，而非取宋元古器新製，此處紋飾，應循雍正窰螭龍或靈芝紋而生。例見北京故宮藏一件雍正青花釉裏紅天球瓶，載於《故宮珍藏康雍乾瓷器圖錄》，北京，1989年，頁190，圖版19；還有一乾隆釉裏紅葫蘆瓶，售於香港蘇富比2010年4月8日，編號1867。

相似釉色之乾隆青瓷，可見懷海堂典藏一例，刻飾纏枝蓮紋及卷葉紋，帶類同乾隆篆款，錄於《機暇清賞：懷海堂藏清代御瓷器》，香港中文大學文物館，香港，2007年，編號51。另一類例，器頸截短，2012年11月7日售於倫敦蘇富比，編號430，其篆款、裝飾手法及釉色之相似，可推論與此件夔龍紋罐，似為燒造於同一時期，且出自同一批工匠之手。

the slightly waisted cylindrical body rising from a flat countersunk base, carved around the exterior with a leafy peony scroll and covered overall in a mid-blue glaze, the interior and base white, the base with an apocryphal six-character Jiajing mark in underglaze-blue

The brushpot is in general good condition with the exception of small nibbles at the rim, and shallow chips at the foot (largest approx. 1.5×0.5 cm). There are some minor firing flaws including an approx. 0.8×0.4 cm glaze imperfection to the exterior, and minor burst bubbles and iron spots.
