The first figure of Guanyin is molded standing on a lotus base above rolling waves, holding a stem of lotus in her right hand. The second figure of Li Tieguai is shown walking with his iron staff and carrying a double gourd, which he uses to carry medicine. The left arm of the figure is molded separately from the body.
The largest, 15 3/4 in. (40.3 cm.) high

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Guanyin:
-There are small nicks to the fingers, one finger has been restored, and small areas of touch up to the hands
-There is a faint hairline across the back.
-There are minor firing flaws on the base.

Li Tieguai:
-One arm was molded separately.
-There are hairlines on the figure’s robe, back, feet, and the base.
-There are nicks and areas of touch-ups to one hand and the gourd.
-There are minor chips to the rim of the section where the arm meets the body.

standing barefoot on a pedestal of swirling clouds, the face modeled with a serene expression with downcast eyes, pendulous earlobes and an urna mark on the forehead, the hair gathered in a high chignon secured by a lingzhi-form tiara beneath a draped cowl extending over the rounded shoulders, the long billowing robes open at the chest revealing a beaded foliate-motif necklace, the hands clasped together emerging from the voluminous sleeves
