CARVED JADEITE GUANYIN
天然翡翠雕「觀音」雕件
The very good translucent jadeite of intense green colour, well carved as a Guanyin with her right hand holding a pearl and left hand holding a stalk of lotus flower, standing on a mythical fish.

Guanyin approximately 107.97 x 29.82 x 14.90mm.
Accompanied by Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory certificate no. KJ 101582, dated 20 February 2020, stating that the jadeite is natural, known in the trade as “A Jade”.

Jadeite of very good translucency, intense green colour graduating to the head of a slightly lighter tone, under strong illumination, there are some specks of white clouds at the front with minor faint clouds at the mythical fish, to the back with some specks and a few patches of white gold, commonly seen in the natural jadeite of this material.

Overall in excellent condition.

the glossy stone of apple-green and yellow tones mottled with natural inclusions, well carved as a female deity standing on bare feet, her serene face framed with an elaborate coiffure covered by a long veil, wearing loose voluminous robes falling in thick folds open at the chest revealing a beaded necklace, her right hand in vitarka mutra, above her left hand holding a jewel, wood stand

狀況報告
In addition to some very minor nibbles to the edges, the lower tip of the robe on the front might have been polished down, possibly to remove a chip. The overall condition, however, is quite good. The actual colour is slightly more tinged with yellow than the catalogue illustration.

出版：《清代玉雕之美》，台湾历史博物馆，1997年，第205页，图35 观音坐像，以碧玉琢成，玉质油润细腻，碧绿通透，致密度高。观音神情和蔼慈祥，法相饱满，双目低垂，微微张开，高鼻，双颊线条柔润，下颌饱满，双耳长而宽厚。神态悯而不悲，威而不怒，十分沉静安详。发如细丝，其发鬓高束，头戴风帽，身批长巾，长至脚踝，下摆与衬边纹饰流畅如水，胸前衣结。右手抬起，左手自然下垂至膝头，皆结说法印，似在启迪众生。视之即感祥和宁静，心中杂念顿消。

The standing figure is shown holding a basket of peonies above a phoenix grasping a further peony stem in its beak that stands on rockwork at her feet. She wears long robes that flare to the side and her hair is dressed in a topknot. The mottled stone is in various shades of olive green.
